“How could anyone ever tell you,
you were anything less than beautiful.
How could anyone ever tell you,
you were less than whole?

How could anyone fail to notice,june-2017-280
that your loving is a miracle?
How deeply you’re
connected to my soul.”

Please take a few moments drop into yourself. To breathe, pause, and be in this moment. In connection. In peace. ❤

If you feel like doing so, share a photo or a thought or a moment from your day below.

You may wish to place one hand on your heart, one hand on your belly and hum gently to center yourself in this time and in space. And, with your next breath, extend your awareness to the other people joining this circle, in their times and their places, each connected in this web we weave together with each breath.

Last week, we traveled to Illinois where I gave a keynote presentation and a workshop at the UU Women’s Connection Retreat. The day after, I awoke with this song in my head which is what we sang to close the retreat. You may enjoy listening to it as well:

(Since we were traveling at this time, this is a short text-only ritual this week, no recording.)

During keynote presentation

“Keep your unwavering thoughts, feelings, and actions focused on your target, and you will make your mark.”

Where do you want to make a mark? From the Goddess Guidance Oracle Deck, we received Diana. This is a card of tenacity and focus. Take a moment to feel a certainty in your own solid strength and resolve.

What is your target? What needs your unwavering focus? How can you take firmer control over your schedule?

From Womanrunes, in an interesting contrast, we received The Dark Moon, the rune of wisdom and also of the unknown. Can you hold space for the ever-unknown? Where do you need to consult the Crone in your life? (Either archetypally, within yourself, from a real-life trusted elder, or from a crone goddess?) What is waiting to be discovered?

I also found a quote from my Meditations for Women Who Do Too Much book that I’ve previously used and it caught my attention again. One of the things I realized at this recent retreat is that I do not allow myself much time or space for fun and I would like to change that.

“Would you sell the colors of your sunset and the fragrance
of your flowers, and the passionate wonder of your forest
for a creed that will not let you dance?”

–Helene Johnson in Mediations for Women Who Do too Much

The author, Anne Schaef, goes on to ask you to consider what is your “creed”? Does it allow you time for sunsets, flowers, and passionate wonder? She then says, which made me laugh: “dancing surely just be for pagans who don’t have to make money. We used to dance before we became so important.”

May you be mindful of the creed that guides you, act with focused intention, laugh with abandon, trust your wisdom, and take time to dance with your one wild and precious life! ❤️

Affirmation for the week: I trust the wild within.

And now, dear Circle, the rattle passes to you! ❤️
